Exactly how do you define right from wrong in a world when everybody is in some way violating the law amd the role models of today are Gangster Rappers on MTV? Tupac Shakur was a popular man, he was a gangster, he was killed in Gangland fire. However, I hear so many people say "yo, Tupac's my man". No wonder they're still flipping burgers, with all those tatoos and and gang associations, they can't get a real job because they can't clean up their act or they just need any job to stay out of jail, as demanded by their parol officer.
What's even worse, is when you are 18 and given responsibilities that you are unable to handle because you have your boyfriend on your mind, the boyfriend who is being searched for by the police. However, you have hidden your boyfriend, which is a crime itself, and you spend most of the time worrying about him and not doing your job. When your supposed to be in the office, you put the little clock sign out saying "Will be back" and visit him for a little lovin' time.
Odd, this reminds me so much of our apartment manager who is not doing her job and we are suffering because of it. Case in point, the Air Conditioner is still not working, it's extremely hot in this damn place, the computers are handleing it better than I am and I'm still sick from the high temperatures. A few days ago, it went up to a whopping 103 degrees, and in some places, it reached 105. Now, I'm not one to complain, I'm normally a very kind person.....but I put my foot down when my health is jeopardized by the irresponsible actions of somebody hired to do a job and then doesn't. If your getting paid to be an apartment manager and can't do the job, aren't you basically stealing from the people who hire you? The last apartment manager actually got fired because she plainly said "I'm not doing anything". Well, guess what? We have given an ultimatum to our apartment manager and told her, "Get it done, or we call the housing authority, the health department and a lawyer. If either one of us is hospitalized because of heat related illness, the bill will be sent to the apartment owners".
We wonder what it would be like to own an apartment building. Actually, I suggested to Rigel that we immediately sell it to the highest bidder so that we don't have to worry about the people we hire not doing their jobs. I know this is such a terrible thing to write about, and journalistic integrity is a basic law that keeps me to only writing things that directly affect me. So, just to let you know, there is no way that I can wrong is saying anything that I say here.
The apartment manager is not doing her job, she is commiting a crime, and when the investigator talked to her, she directly lied to him and denied knowing where he was. The cops were practically surrounding the place a couple of weeks ago and it was almost a total circus. People in the next building were sitting outside in plastic chairs just waiting to see what was going to happen next. Some, later that night, still sat out and waited to see if the boyfriend would return so that he could get caught by the cops.
Get with the program girl. You are very close to losing your job and spending a year and a half in jail for hiding your hispanic gangster (at least he looks like a gangster) boyfriend.
The pen is truly mightier than the sword. However, we have a sword collection as well, just to be on the safe side.
